HELPING HANDS is a newly created feature for our group,
based on feedback from all of you when we conducted the
2018 member survey.

HELPING HANDS offers two services to our members:

Sick Call – If a member is ill, or in sickbay as the result of surgery
or a procedure, just let us know so we can periodically check on your
progress and offer any temporary assistance. Perhaps just a phone call
or card would help to cheer you up during your recovery. If you wish,
we could also let your fellow Desert Coasties know.

Outreach - Outreach is intended to provide non-professional support to a member who is experiencing a long-term health issue or disability, perhaps resulting in transitioning to assisted living. By making us aware of your condition, we can provide assistance in the form of errands, shopping, periodic visits/check-ins, help to arrange doctor visits, and more. In other words helping our members and their families in any way we can, as appropriate. It’s just friends helping friends.

Important Note – No personal information will ever be posted on our Website. Additionally, none of it will be shared with the entire Desert Coastie membership, unless you request it. This entire concept is entirely voluntary on both the receiving and giving ends.
